Armenian filmmaker Jivan Avetisyan’s “The Last Inhabitant” was screened on September 5 at the Venice Production Bridge of the Venice International Film Festival in Italy.

As the Fish Eye Art Cultural Foundation reported in a release, the film screening was held at the initiative of the organization’s Italian partner Blue Knowledge Association and personally its Director Orietta Trevisanato Zampieri. The event was carried out under the high patronage and with the direct participation of Luca Zaia, Veneto Governor (Administrative center – Venice).

According to the source, film director Jivan Avetisyan, co-producer Kestutis Drazdauskas, Executive Producer Adrineh Mirzayan and lead actress Sandra Daukšaitė-Petrulėnė were present at the film presentation.

“Tulipani, love, honour and a bicycle, part of which was shot in Lithuania, was directed by the Oscar-winning director Mike van Diem, produced by FATT Productions and DCTV, and co-produced by Artbox (co-producer Kestutis Drazdauskas).

“Together for a 100 years” is a project that features memoirs, experiences and life stories of the contemporaries of the Republic of Lithuania and their families, through documentary film. Award for Best Foreign Language Film is one of the awards presented at the “Golden Globes”. This year 85 Foreign Language Films from 52 countries are eligible for “Golden Globes” consideration. We’ve received some great statistics about our film “2 Nights till Morning” from the director Mikko Kuparinen: “So far the film has been sold for cinema distribution to France, Canada, Sweden, Ukraine and South Korea. Talks are on with several other countries as well. Opening theatrically on multiple territories spring 2016. Exciting times ahead!”

We’ve got some updates on our film “The Last Inhabitant” which will be released in 2016. American – Armenian band “System of a Down” will write the music for the film! The director is sure that the music will be in harmony with the events and the message of the film.

“Babylon 13″ is a cinema of civil resistance. It is a group of young filmmakers, who were brought together by the revolutionary Maidan. It is a desire to film the birth of the civil society and its first steps.

Chronicle, consisting of fifty short DocuWeb genre films, which reflect the history of the Ukrainian revolution, will be presented by its director Larisa Artiugina.

Runtime: 110min., 2 parts.

Screening and meeting with the director will take place in the Lithuanian Cinematographers Union Hall, April 2nd, 6 pm.

A short film “God’s Got His Head in the Clouds” directed by Gianluca Sodaro, co-produced by Kęstutis Drazdauskas (“Artbox”) and shot by one of the best Lithuanian cinematographer Ramūnas Greičius, continues its successful journey through the various film festivals of the world.

So far, the film was shown in more than 25 film festivals in Europe, USA, Australia and Asia. In the “Byron Bay International Film Festival” “God’s Got His Head in the Clouds” got an award for the best cinematography and in the “Rome Creative Contest Festival” it was nominated for its music composed by Angelo Badalamenti.

Not too long ago “God’s Got His Head in the Clouds” won another prestigious award – USA “Gasparilla International Film Festival” awarded Gianluca Sodaro (Director, producer and screenwriter) with the “Grand Jury Prize.”

“God’s Got His Head in the Clouds” is a story about a local priest (Franco Pistoni), who is kneeling in prayer in a small country chapel. He is alone until he turns around to find 11-year-old Angelina (Silvia Sodaro) standing behind him. She has an inquisitive look in her eyes. Who is this little girl? Why is she there?

Gianluco Sodaro’s film was already shown in the theatres of Lithuania and it was nominated for the “Best short film of the year” by the prestigious film awards ceremony in Lithuania - Silver Crane 2013.

The director is continuing his cooperation with Lithuanian film makers and his new feature film “Solo” (“Artbox”) will be made with an assistance of “Lithuanian film centre.”



On the 5th of May, in the city of Yerevan, the premiere of the feature film of the Armenian director Jivan Avetisyan took place. The film was co-produced by Kęstutis Drazdauskas (“Artbox”). The music for the film was composed by Jonas Jurkūnas. Visual post-production was carried out by Linas Dabriška (“Madstone”).

The movie is based on a true story of 14 year old orphan Tevanik, whose father has died in a war, after refusing to destory the “beauty.” It is a story about love and selflessness.
